HEAD PLAY GETS TOP WEIGHT Mason Star Assigned 130 Pounds for Washington Park Championship Handicap Saturday. HOMEWOOD, 111., June 24.— Head Play, the fie-year-old that has been sweeping through the handicap division this season, was given top weight of 130 pounds in the list of weights for Saturdays ,000 added Washington Park Championship Handicap, at a mile and a quarter, made public today by racing secretary Charles McLennan. With Head Play not an expected starter, however, top weight of the field that i3 expected to face the barrier will be A. A. Baronis Top Row, holder of the worlds record for a mile and a sixteenth, and already the winner of the Great Western Handicap, at a mile and a furlong, at Washington Park. Top Row drew 124 pounds. Next in line is E. F. Seagrams Stand Pat with 120. The conqueror of Azucar a few weeks ago, Stand Pat has no other stake engagement for Saturday and is expected to arrive for the Washington Park Championship Handicap in mid-week. Next to Stand Pat in the list is the Northway Stables Riskulus, which is just now coming to form after a careful preparation that haa lasted during most of the Homewood meeting. Highest weight of the three-year-olds named is D. B. Midkiffs Tearout, which won the Latonia Derby and finished third in the American Derby in a sparkling finish. Tearout got 109 pounds. Mrs. John D. Hertz Count Arthur, the much improved three-year-old that finished second in the American Derby, gets in with 108 pounds.
