AIRWAYS EASY VICTORY MONTREAL, Que., June 24.— With the withdrawal of Winston D. and Airking five were left to contest the St. John Baptiste Purse, feature offering of the Mount Royal course today, and it resulted in an easy victory for H. L. Sauers seven-year-old Airway, which led the quintette by two and one-half lengths at the end of the mile and a sixteenth. J. P. Maceys Secret Lover was in second place, ten lengths before Mrs. C. A. Nichols Sorcery. Golden Princess was in fourth place, twenty lengths before the only other starter, Vitella. A large crowd was on hand for the holiday sport and although the program was raced over a very heavy track clear skies greeted the throng and many spirited contests were developed but run in real slow time.
