MASKED BELLE, away slowly and raced wide throughout, began to improve her position fast after reaching the stretch and after getting up, drew away rapidly. OUT PUT, well up from the start and on the inside the final three-eighths, was under strong pressure in the final quarter and held on well. BONNIE DREAM had speed from the start, raced a trifle wide and also held on courageously. WHISKARITA dwelt at the start, moved up with a rush on the inside in the stretch and weakend in the late stages, but showed a fine effort. COURANT lost ground and went well. THISTLE AIR also lost ground. VALERIE JEAN had to be eased when in close quarters soon after reaching the stretch and had no chance when clear. COURT tired. MARY HARTIGAN had speed, bore out on the turn and was eased up after tiring badlv. LOTOFUS, fractious at the post but away well, took command before going three-sixteenths, saved ground the final three-eighths and tired badly, winning with little left. KAI HARRI appeared to swerve over sharply-soon after the start, swerved under punishment in the stretch, but held on well. CINAR, probably best and shuffled back in the earlv crowding, bore out entering the stretch and swerved to the inside while making up much ground in the final eighth. CLOSING TIME showed a good effort. IDENTICAL began slowly. JOHNNY BANE failed to keep up. JUDGE BONELLI lacked speed. SCATTER BRAIN had speed from the start, raced to the inside in the stretch and held on stubbornly though tiring. SARAHMOND lost ground throughout, but closed with determination. SURCOUF, away slowly, raced sluggishly for five-eighths, then gave good speed and finished fastest. BOILING POINT, away slowly, did not threaten, yet held on fairly well. SILVER SICKLE forced the early pace under restraint, took command easily and, holding on well, held PUNDIT safe. The latter, away fast but unable to keep up, again dropped back slightly after quickly improving his position on the far turn, came between horses in the stretch and finished boldly. OUR REIGH, far back for five-eighths, gained fast on the inside thereafter. DEBS DELIGHT had speed from the start, was on the inside early, dropped back on the stretch turn and came again mildly after coming out. MORNING MAIL, jostled about in the early stages, raced wide the last three-eighths. CORINTO was racing well when forced back on the turn and could not get up rnder pressure in the final quarter. BOLD LOVER, away slowly, raced between horses when moving up fast on the turn, came through on the inside in the drive and held on well, but was outmatched. GAY WORLD raced wide throughout and, badly outrun for a half mile, closed with fine speed. DUSKY DEVIL finished well in a good effort. WISE DAUGHTER lost much ground and weakened after showing fine speed to the final three sixteenths. SOME POMP began fast, but dropped out of it suddenly on the stretch turn.
