AURORA TURF NOTES : g The policing of the grounds will be in charge of Al Bordeau, who handled his position so well at the Fair Grounds last winter. Police from Chicago and Aurora will be under the direction of Bordeau, who has served in this capacity at many tracks throughout the country and Canada. Nominations for the Illinois Derby, 2,000 added feature to be contested the last day of the meeting, will close May 15. To date, racing secretary R. A. Leigh has received twenty nominations. The veteran L. "Tex" Wilson, contract rider for the Chicago owner, E. E. Keller, returned from Collinsville, 111., where he spent several days vacationing. According to trainer D. Womeldorff, he has a promising prospect under contract in Michael Dziedziech pronounced gee gee, who has been galloping horses two years. Jockey H. Duncan arrived Monday morning from Arlington Downs. Duncan is under engagement to F. Riley, who brought Zenka, Alma Delia and Erb from Texas. In the same car Al Horton brought his two-horse stable, consisting of Current and Tap Dancer; Sam Holman, with Cheraw and Greenstone; L. R. Knifongs Lumillion; R. Fischer, with Playaway, Tom Proctor and Eleanor M., and George Keetons Irish Wake, Board Trade and Emigrante. The car was rounded out with Frank Bartons Darkling. The Illinois owner, H. O. Simmons, shipped seven head here from Arlington Downs, which arrived Monday morning. The other member of the stable, Paper Profits, failed to make the trip with her stablemate and was vanned. The horses unloaded for Simmons were Capt. Logan, Beginners Bait, Fancy Flight, Yetan, Skippy McGee, Baby Witt and Mynah. In the same car were the horses of the Blue Ribbon Stock Farm, in charge of trainer G. Felkner, consisting of Ida King, Runamuck, Here On, Alwintour, Spicate, Mali Grant and The Jurist. The third car to unload from Texas on Monday morning brought F. L. Talleys Whizz James, Oddesa Beau and Modesto, while S. Buckland had Ophundo, Sharp Thoughts, Wichita City, Gladena, Renaissance, Eric T. and Empress Yvonne. The horses of Sam Orr made up the balance of the car, including Mctaurus, Unkie Tom, Orinoco, Cornelia Pal and Doris B. The special train consisting of six cars from Arlington Downs, embracing ninety-six horses, was due to unload at Exposition Park on Monday night. Some of the larger stables in the shipment are the Three Ds Stock Farm, P. Kelley, J. Oros, A. G. Tarn, B. Hernandez and W. C. Stroube.
