NED REIGH DECLARED ; OUT OF DERBY i L i LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 28. Ned Reigh, which was shipped here from Jamaica in an attempt to duplicate Exterminators Kentucky i Derby victory for Willis Sharpe Kilmer, will not be a starter Saturday, it was learned from trainer Jack Whyte this afternoon. The son of Neddie is suffering from a temperature which developed upon his arrival from New York and it was sufficient to prevent the colt from going through an extended trial tomorrow morning, which he required to be ready for his Derby engagement. "A week ago such a fever would have meant little," said trainer Whyte, "but coming on the eve of such a tough race, it forces his withdrawal. I guess we will go East before the running of the Derby and start training for the Preakness. I know hes a much better colt than he has shown in either of his two races at Jamaica. Hes proven that to me too often. Watch him at Pimlico two weeks from Saturday."
