I WINN ANNOUNCES PURSE i INCREASE AT LATONIA j. ..... T T .... - LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 28. Along with doubling the added values of six of the seven stakes to be run during its spring and early summer meeting, the Latonia Jockey Club is increasing the value of overnight events for the thirty-seven days of racing at its Covington track beginning Saturday, May 23. The minimum purse will be 00, with others of 00 and 00, and at least two of ,000 or more daily, Col. M. J. Winn, executive director of the track, announced here today. Overnight purse values will run as high as ,000. In addition to six stakes of ,000 added each, the Latonia Jockey Club will renew the Latonia Derby, with a value of no less than 5,000, and 0,000 if the winner is also the winner of the Kentucky Derby. Copies of the first condition book for the meeting will be ready for distribution here and at other racing points by the last of the current week.
