FLEETING MOON, away in good fashion, raced FYAN into submission in the first half mile, saved ground after moving clear midway of the stretch, but tired suddenly in the last sixteenth. CHALPHONE improved his position on th# outside and finished with good courage. AMHURST, taken to the outside for the start after acting unruly, raced forwardly and had no excuses. MOLASSES BOB closed a good gap. FYAN displayed nice speed for three eighths, then quit badly. MAKALAW saved eround, but could not threaten. HAPPY HOST was never formidable. DANGAY bettered his position slowly, fenced well, but could not trouble the winner after making a bold spurt coming to the final jump. AXACAN raced into a forward position when the other contestants were eliminated. HOURSEND fell far out of contention after the first two fences and was never a factor. PERSIAN PRINCE, prominent in the early running, took command after the two leaders left the jumping course, but fell heavily at the twelfth jump.
