LITTLE AUDREY, quickest to bein, drew clear in the opening sixteenth, was steadied along in front and was never seriously threatened. FLYING PLAY moved up on the outside around the turn, responded gamely to urging and was going determinedly at the close. JEANNE FETZKO, shuffled back slightly soon after the start, recovered quickly, was sent into contention and raced along willingly to the end. KENNER chased the leader closely for the opening three eighths, tiring steadily in the stretch run. GAY SWEEP could never endanger the leader, though prominently placed until reaching the stretch. LAND ROUTE was outrun. ADDIS ABABA, shuffled ba;k at the start, was hard ridden early and quit badly in the last quarter mile. Scratched— 25482 Brave Agnes, 112 ; Foxo, 112. GUILDER, reserved off the early pace, responded gamely to uraing after going the first half mile and, wearing down the leaders, drew out through the closing eighth. SCINTILLA, prominently placed while holding to a forward position on the outside through the back stretch, wore down MANYA for the lead, but was unable to keep pace when challenged. STAROGAN circled her field on the turn and came gamely through the stretch. LULU LITE was roing stoutly at the close. MORGIL, sore going to the post, could never reach the leaders. MANYA had good speed for the first half mile, tiring thereafter. WAR SAINT had brief early speed, then faltered badly. He pulled up lame. Scratched— 25568 Longford, 112. PROTEUS raced to the front soon after the start, drew clear at the close of the opening quarter mile and, rated along in front, was never threatened, though ridden out at the close. LOOKOUT BOYS raced up fast swinging from the back stretch and, while unable to reach the leaders, fought it out gamely to the end. SIR KAI, unable to reach the leaders during the first half mile, held on well when placed to punishment through the stretch. GALEA, well placed, was unable to improve her position in the closing drive. TRAMWAY closed some ground after being outpaced early. EVANGELIST, well placed and showing early speed, retired after going a half mile. The others were outrun. Scratched— 25525 Dornoch, 109; 25574 Anhelation, 100. MOANE KEALA, prominently placed all the way. continued with good energy to the end. BROADSWORD, sore going to the post, closed gamely and pulled up very lame. SCOTCH QUEEN was never able to reach the leaders. BEDIGHT displayed good early speed, but quit badly alter going a half mile. JOHNNY BANE had good speed for the first half mile. SIC EM was never prominent. WISE PRINCE, away fast, was reserved in a prominent position when outrun, moved up on the outside when making his effort and, wearing down the leaders, was going away at the end. GO QUICK displayed speed from the outset, fousht it out couraseously with HAPPY BOLIVAR, but was unable to stave off the closing challenge of the winner. HAPPY BOLIVAR had the most speed though hard ridden to show the way and held on gamely to the end. DANCING DOLL, well placed and under slight reserve early, tired when placed under pressure. PRINCE FOX could never reach the leaders. WARREN JR. was never a serious threat. HARDWARE trailed the entire wav. Scratched— 25619 Toration, 100; 25399Happy Knot, 103. The latter, outrun for three quarters, closed with good energy in the stretch run. BEAU BON, placed under pressure nearing the stretch, moved up determinedly, but was unabU to improve his position in the closing eighth. SIR THOMAS, under a stout pull while being rated close to the leaders, failed to respond when called upon. BALMACAN retired after leaving the back stretch.
