1 AURORA TUrFnOTES 1 g W. W. Gauthier was an arrival from New Orleans with a trio of horses, the sprinter Inflate heading the list. Jockeys A. Fermin and D. C. Smith had their initial mounts of the Aurora meeting Monday afternoon. A. G. Tarn, Canadian turfman, stopped off I here en route to his home in Winnipeg, Man., and announced that he would return next Monday for the remainder of the Illinois racing season. The second and final issue of the Fox Val-! ley Jockey Clubs condition books was distributed to owners and trainers Monday ! morning. According to A. A. "Sarge" Swenke, he will serve as one of the patrol judges during the forthcoming Hawthorne meeting. It is understood that Fred Burton has accepted the post of racing secretary for the Charles Town meeting, which will get under way May 30 and continue through July 4. Benny Creech returns to Aurora Tuesday to assume charge of the horses he handles for Mrs. A. M. Creech. During his absence of several days G. F. Mitchell, agent for the stable, has been looking after the stock. A. Lamoureaux reported that Bald Crest, whicn suffered an attack of pneumonia, has improved considerably and is now out of danger. Barney Ross, worlds welterweight champion, was among the visitors at the Fox Valley Jockey Clubs track Monday afternoon. A. J. Hefferan put in his first appearance of the current meeting and stated that Gene Bury, Ak-Sar-Ben racing secretary, will be here this week to distribute condition books for the thirty-three-day meeting scheduled for Omaha.
