TEST FOR LATONIA DERBY LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 11.— In order to give owners of eligibles for the Latonia Derby which features the opening day program at that track Saturday, May 23, an opportunity of testing their charges here, an allowance race which will replace the original seventh race carded for Saturday at Churchill Downs has been arranged. Conditions for the race which will carry a ,500 purse were distributed among the horsemen today. The conditions follow: Purse ,500; 3-year-olds; weight 118 pounds. Winners of two sweepstakes of ,000 or one of 0,000 to carry four pounds extra; non-winners of ,000 or ,000 twice allowed four pounds: ,000 any time or 00 three times since April 25, six pounds; 00 twice in 1936, eight I pounds; two races of $ 600 any time, ten pounds; maidens allowed twelve pounds. 1 One and one-sixteenth miles.
