T. C. WORDENS RIFTED CLOUDS FIRED FOR SPLINT CRETE. 111., Oct 5. The crack two-year-old filly Rifted Clouds was not a starter in the Jolict Handicap at Lincoln Fields because she popped a splint in a recent workout, her owner, Thomas C. Worden, announced following his return from a business trip to New York. The Insco filly was fired for the ailment this morning and will be on the shelf for a time, but will be included in the shipment of Worden horses which trainer B. A. Jones will send to Arlington Downs and later to California. Rifted Clouds won the Washington Park Juvenile and was one of the early favorites for the Jolict Handicap.
