MAEDIC GETS TOP WEIGHT Brilliant Son of Bostonian Assigned 126 Pounds for Remsen Handicap at Jamaica. NEW YORK, N. Y., Oct. 5. Maedic, the son of Bostonian, that won all five of the specials in which he was started at the Saratoga Springs meeting, winding up with the Hopeful, is made top weight for the Remsen Handicap, the feature of the Saturday card at Jamaica. This is a six furlongs test, to which ,500 is added, and the Mae-mere Farm champion is asked to take up 126 pounds. He is in Maryland and will not be sent on for the running. Forty Winks, winner of the Saratoga Special for the Greentree Stable, is second in the weights with a burden of 120 pounds, but he is In retirement That takes the weights down to Mrs. Ethel V.
