ANN JONES, a strong factor from the start, was put to strong urging in the stretch, failed to menace the winner, but held on well. DERBY DUSK, a strong factor from the start, tired in the drive. EMVEE, away slowly and outrun for three-eighths, improved its position fast after reaching the stretch and outfinished MRS. FAB. The latter worked her way forward steadily, was steered to the inside for the drive, wore down BUSY DAUGHTER in the last stages, but failed to withstand the winner. BUSY DAUGHTER, well up from the start and on the inside, forged to the front in the stretch, but failed to with, stand the leaders. LORD DALTON, away slowlv and outrun for a half mile, was sent to the outside for the drive and closed with a rush. QUICK tired. PROSY quit. GOLDEN PIGEON showed a dull effort. NADI, outrun for five-sixteenths, improved his position rapidly soon afterward, but tired. PETER PUMPKIN quit. HARPER made up ground. GRATTAN and ASSIST were outrun.
