MINDALO raced wide and. stoutly shaken up on the stretch turn, overtook TAKEME with a rush after straiehtening out in the stretch and, drawing into a long lead, was eased up. winning with something left. TAKEME had the most speed from the start, opened up a big advantage in the final quarter and, tiring in the stretch, readily submitted to the winner, yet withsood GLOW WORMS rush. The latter, away slowly and raced very wide under a badly judged ride, rallied when shaken up in the stretch and, closing strongly, was rapidly wearing down TAKEME. SCHOLAR GIRL had no mishaps. CARBINES COMET, taken back when in close quarters soon after the start, was raced wide for the better coine after the opening quarter, came with a rush in the stretch and, after getting up in the last fifty yards, increased his advantage rapidly. JEU DE BAR, in the deeper going throughout and under strong pressure after three-eighths, held on well in a fine effort. EVEN PLAY, a strong factor from the start and under steadying restraint for a half mile, held on with determination to the last sixteenth, where he faltered. ERIC T.. also having speed from the start, worked his way to the front on strong handling, then tired. HER HERO showed a fair effort. MOANE KEALA failed badly after showing speed to the stretch. OUR SPOT, much the best and well handled, forced the early pace under stout restraint, was in the firmer part of the track after three-eighths, gradually wore down TRANSEN when placed to light pressure in the final quarter and, continuing strongly, drew out in the last eighth. FLYING JUSTICE, in the best going ?fter the first quarter and rated under restraint to the stretch, fought it out gamely in the drive. NORTHERN SIR also raced wide, bettered his position slowly and, finishing resolutely, was getting to FLYING JUSTICE. TRANSEN displayed speed from the start, swerved into the deep going on the inside in the stretch and then failed to keep up. FLIGHT OF GOLD, slow to begin, lacked speed and was never a factor. BACK LOG, outrun for a half mile and raced wide, closed with good belated speed under vigorous riding. FREDRICK, steadied for a hall mile, rallied mildly to lieht urging in the stretch, but failed to withstand BACK LOG. BARANCA closed well effort. GREY COUNT, also slow to start, was under strong handling after about three-eighths and, holding on with good courage, outstayed MOTION PICTURE. The latter, closer to the inside than the two leaders throughout, rallied when shaken up soon after entering the stretch, but tired badly in the late stages. COL. GOODNIGHT could not get up. The latter, slow to begin and raced very wide, began to improve his position slowly on the stretch turn, but came with improved speed in the final three sixteenths and was rapidly wearing down the winner at the end. PROPOSING, receiving a poorly judged ride and rushed to contention in the worst going after reaching the stretch, tired from the effort when the final test came. ANY CHANCE had speed from the start, stumbled soon after reaching the stretch and came again when in good stride. ALWINTOUR was well rated, but tired after five-eiehths RED ROD showed nothing. JAWAPA also raced wide and was slow to respond to pressure, but rallied after reaching the final three-sixteenths and finished strongest. ATIT, a factor from the start and well rated, held on fairly well. LIGHT BREEZE was going boldly in the late stages. CARL B., rated under strong restraint for seven-eighths, easily shook off LA SALLE after straightening out in the stretch and, holding on well to the end, rapidly increased his advantage in the final eighth. NAVY GIRL, shuffled back soon after reaching the back stretch, was slow to rally when placed to pressure in the final three-eighths, but closed well and wore down LA SALLE in the final stride. 1 The latter had speed from the start, was well rated, but tired in the final quarter. DONNIE W. gave way badly after seven-eighths. SERGEANT HILL lacked his usual belated speed. JERRY S. raced very wide, was under mild urging after five-eighths and, laboring in the going, dropped far out of it in the final five-sixteenths.
