After having bettered the American record for trainers set by C. B. Irwin in 1923, when the latter saddled 147 winners,,, Hirsch Jacobs continues on his winning way with a view to establishing an all-time American record for those of the conditioning profession. From January 1 up to and including the racing of October 28 Jacobs sent 151 winners to the post, being sixty-eight ahead of his nearest rival, A. G. Tarn, the Canadian sportsman, who has eighty-three to his credit. Thus .it is that training honors for the year are in Jacobs possession as it is almost -impossible for anyone to overtake his large, mounting lead. E. H. Beezley, who has been meeting with marked success on the West Coast, now resides in ninth place, with sixty-one winners to his credit. From October 6 to October 28 Beezley had eleven horses enter the winners circle, while during the same period F. J. Kearns had twelve. Clarence E. Davison, whose horses have been doing quite well at Sportsmans Park, is going along at a fair rate, having fifty-four winners as his total, saddling ten winners during the above mentioned period. Following are the leading American train-, ers, together with their records from January 1 up to and including the racing of October 28: Trainer.- Wins. Trainer. Wins. Jacobs, H 151 Kearns, F.
