. , f SPORTSMANS PARK NOTESj The Sportsmans Park stewards ruled that the further entry of the horse Lugen Luggage will not be accepted during the remainder of the meeting. The ruling was handed down after Lugen Luggage bolted to the outside fence in the fifth race Thursday, his second such performance within the past few days. Jockey H. Kees was suspended for the remainder of the meeting for rough riding in the fifth race Thursday. He was astride Wild West. News of the death of jockey Mack Garner cast a pall of sorrow over the. jockey quarters here Thursday. Riders and grooms took up a collection and sent a floral piece to the Garner residence in Covington, Ky. A.. J. Heffernan, a prominent racing official, was a visitor at Sportsmans Park, Thursday. J. E. Mason announced that he intends to send his Spring Valley Stable horses to Churchill Downs at the conclusion of the local meeting.
