INTEREST IN SOUTHWEST BREEDERS FUTURITY ARLINGTON, Texas, Oct. 29. With excellent prospects for the largest field that has started in the fixture, much interest is noted in next Wednesdays renewal of the Southwest Breeders Futurity, formerly the Tesas Breeders Futurity, and if decided under favorable conditions it may attract one of the largest crowds of the meeting. For two-year-olds at six furlongs bred in Texas or Oklahoma, the stake drew the names of seventy-seven mares back in 1934 and the produce of fifty-three remained eligible in July, 1935. With final payments received for twenty-eight, now two-year-olds, by July 1, last, the number remaining eligible and from which actual starters will be drawn, is greater than in any previous year. The gratifying response of Southwest breeders has so greatly encouraged the Waggoner Brothers, sponsors of the stake, that the value of next Wednesdays renewal has been increased to ,000, and it is the richest race for two-year-olds run in this state. . t 3 1 , J : 1 !; 1 s t t s t
