The condition book for the first twelve days of the third winter Santa Anita racing season, opening Christmas Day, reveals that thirty two-year-olds foaled in California remain eligible for the California Breeders Champion Stakes, 0,000 added by the Los Angeles Turf Club, which will be run on Wednesday, December 30. It is a rich pot of gold for the coming three-year-olds to strive for over one mile, and with the race to be made an annual fixture to encourage the breeding industry in California, it is predicted that nominations and eligibles will materially increase in the coming years. Nominations for the coming stake were made August 1, 1934, with subsequent payments following and fifty-nine were named.
