HERMANA, away fast and having good speed, was forced wide when responding to pressure after reaching the final eighth and, wearing down HIGH MARIA, drew out fast in the closing strides. The latter rushed into the lead on the inside, swerved out badly entering the stretch and, tiring after three-eighths, failed to withstand the winner. PULL CORD, well up from the start, secured room on the inside in the final quarter and held on well. HOUSEKEEPER closed resolutely in a good effort. LADY THATCHER, rank at the post but away fast, swerved to the inside before drawing clear in the first eighth, was steadied on" the turn and came away rapidly while under mild urging in the closing three-Sixteenths. PATSYETTE, on the inside throughout but slightly taken back soon after the start, rallied mildly when strongly shaken up after reaching the stretch, but tired near the end, yet outstayed ENTREE. The latter lost ground in the final three-eighths, but held on fairly well. FOR ROMANCE tired after showing good speed to the stretch. QUE GATO, going in her best form and rushed into command, was taken under steady restraint on the turn, swerved when strongly urged in the final eighth and lasted to win with little left, but was disqualified for blocking VICTORY MISS near the finish. The latter, lucky to secure room on the inside throughout, improved her position gradually after about three-eighths, was going with good courage when blocked and inay have been best. BARBARA J., taken back several times, swerved badly on the turn and, coming with a rush in the final quarter, was going strongest at the close. MISS WISE had speed, was well rated, but tired slightly in the last eighth. JESSIE O., away well, took command under vigorous riding, was steadied around the stretch turn, swerved out before straightening away in the stretch and held REBEL FLAG safe.. The latter, a strong factor from the start, closed with determination under good handling, but did not seriously threaten the winner. SUNBERRA, fractious at the post but away fairly well, began to improve its position after a quarter and was going well in the final stages. CONNIPTION had speed from the start, was racing close up when crowded back by SOUND WAVE on the stretch turn and had no chance thereafter. MAY SUPREME also delayed the start. SOLAR HAWK, away slowly and under energetic riding from the start, began to better his position after three-eighths, came through on the inside in the stretch and wore down GOLD FLAG in the closing strides. The latter displayed speed from the start, was forced to race wide and tired in the drive. TEDDY GREEN dropped far out of it, but closed well. OODBERRY quit badly after racing prominently to the stretch. FLYING CROSS broke fast, but quickly dropped far back and, lacking speed, was badly outrun to the end. HOOSIERS PRIDE raced wide the final half mile and closed with belated speed in his good effort. GOLDEN NUT, badly outrun for three-quarters,-came around tired horses in the. stretch. RIFF quit badly.
