LEADING AMERICAN TRAINERS Hirsch Jacobs appears to have gone into a safe lead in the race for leading training honors of the year. He saddled two winners during the past week and is now three winners ahead of Michell, who, of course, is inactive due to his suspension by the Florida Racing Commission. Jacobs now has a total of forty-three winners. Ben Jones has moved up to third place in the standing, sending three winners to the post during the aforementioned period of time. E. H. Beezley is next in line with twenty-four to his credit, while G. E. Alexandra and P. Bieber are tied for fifth place honors with twenty-two winners each.
