JOHNNIE DEAR broke slowly, but moved up fast on the outside, responded gamely to urging in the stretch and wore down COLD BREEZE in the final strides. The latter, a quick breaker, drew away into a long lead, was taken in hand after saving ground and held on courageously in the final drive. EARLY EVENING dwelt slightly at the start and was away slowly, worked her way up steadily on the outside and finished with a rush. DOHOEV raced forwardly throughout and had no mishaps in the running. SPANISH FLY was shuffled back after the break and made up some ground steadily. SPARKLING had no mishaps. BABY LYNN quit under pressure. RENEGE raced greenly and was outrun throughout. ETHELS CHOICE outran her field from the start, drew away into a long lead, saved ground thereafter and held her opposition safe to the end. COMPANY, a forward factor from the start and on the inside, disposed of JUSTDUN in the stretch, but could not menace the winner. JUSTDUN raced forwardly throughout and moved up in the stretch when called upon, but faltered. BEAUTIFUL dwelt at the break, then improved her position and finished well. VOLDEAR showed an even effort. GROUND OAK had no mishaps in the running. DONALD DUCK began slowly. PROPRIETARY was in close quarters after the break. RAFTER bore out badly rounding the far turn, losing much ground. CHERRY RIPE, outrun and a trailer in the early stages, improved her position rounding the far turn and finished fast at the end. CELTIC LEGEND dwelt slightly at the start, moved up fast on the outside, lost ground entering the stretch and then faltered. PIRATE LASS was in close quarters in the early running, was bothered when ZEVWEE swerved entering the stretch and then came again to finish well. ZEVWEE showed a flash of early speed and then quit. TRUJILLO was away poorly and was weakly handled all the way. CHIEF MOURNER broke In a tangle. WAR STRIPES raced forwardly from the start and could not improve his position when called upon.
