Won ridden out; second and third driving. DRIFT ALONG, slow to settle into her stride, moved up gradually between horses around the turn, came fast through the stretch on the outside under strong urging and drew out. FROZEN MASK, quick to begin, opened up a clear lead, showed good speed into the stretch and, tiring in the final sixteenth, just outlasted SUNBERRA. The latter saved ground and showed an even effort. SOUND WAVE raced on the outside and tired near the end. JOLO was away fast and showed speed for a quarter. WILBANK broke badly and was outrun. WISE DORA, away fast, was rated along smoothly while in close pursuit of the pace, responded willingly when called upon at the stretch turn and stood a hard drive after taking command. SMOOTH, quick to begin but falling back, moved up between horses at the far turn and was steadily wearing down the winner nearing the end. SCOUT BRIGADE was hustled to take the early lead, showed good speed while saving ground, but tired after being challenged. DULCIMER, well up from the start while on the outside, tired in the drive. PRENNY, away fast, showed excellent speed while under steady restraint, saved ground, was taken up after reaching the stretch and, although tiring, just lasted. ANN JONES had good speed from the start, was forced to race wide on the turn and, responding well to urging, was steadily wearing the winner down. MINSTER, in near pursuit of the pace, came wide into the stretch and closed well. LAC-HA-CAROLYN was compelled to race between horses and showed late speed. THE MAYOR, unprepared at the start, was taken to the outside on the turn, came between horses in the stretch and finished fast. MY CHICKADEE showed good speed for a half mile. EXECUTRIX quit badly. SAND BAG, in motion at the start, opened up a clear lead immediately from her outside position, was taken under restraint and, saving, ground, was never in danger. MISS MARS dwelt slightly at the start, settled down to running after a sixteenth, saved ground and finished well, but was no match for the winner. FERN STAR was off slowly and moved up fast on the outside after the first quarter. PLAYKI had good speed from the start, but tired. EASY GIRL broke well, but tired near the end. OLD NASSAU, giving freely of his speed but forced to race wide on the first turn, was taken in hand after assuming a clear lead in the back stretch and, saving ground thereafter, was shaken up entering the stretch to stave off NAVARRE and won with something left. The latter, under restraint early to escape interference, moved up willingly under mild urging and could not trouble the winner, although finishing well. GREY GOLD, fractious at the post and hard ridden to keep up early, was given a breathing spell in the back stretch and closed a big gap on the inside in the stretch under punishment. SOLAR HAWK saved ground throughout, moved up slightly on the second turn, but tired. CANDLELIGHT was outrun. ALBUBBLE was done after three-eighths. Scratched 40284 Galsun, 110. The latter had good speed from the start while under restraint, raced to the front when called upon and held on well. TOMYE showed good speed getting to the front, was under mild restraint setting the pace, but tired after being challenged. FOR ROMANCE, on the inside throughout and lacking early speed, closed with a late rush. ASSIST flashed speed on the final turn. JANE, fractious at the post, was off poorly. JUDGE HASTEN, away fast and showing good early speed under mild restraint, was well rated to the stretch and, shaken up, came away willingly. MINEY dwelt at the start, but moved up fast while lucky to get through on the inside, was rated along steadily, came to the outside on the final turn and held on well. WHIPSTITCH, under good restraint while saving ground for three-quarters, ran down tired horses. GUSTAVIA moved up alter the opening three-eighths, but did not menace the leaders.
