I HAVRE DE GRACE NOTES j ; The first edition of the condition book for the twenty-two-day meeting of the West Virginia Jockey Club, Inc., operating Wheeling Downs, were distributed from the office of the racing secretary here recently. The book, compiled by Robert S. Shelley, caters to every class of horse, and purses range in value from 00 to 00. The meeting at Wheeling Downs opens May 28, lasting until June 25. According to information from president Walter H. Donovan, every stall on the grounds will be occupied, the latest to make reservations being John Hartnett, James Brouenberg, N. E. Tiller, Eugene Casey, C. E. Hudson, Mrs. O. Kauffman and. J. R. Carlock. Jockey P. McDermott pulled away from Havre de Grace late Thursday to report to the W. M. Jeffords stable in New York. L. E. Ogle transferred his horses headed by the good sprinter Clocks to Suffolk Downs Wednesday night Clocks is expected to be a starter in the Plymouth Rock Handicap, opening feature at the East Boston track. . Jockey L. Laurin, who rode Little Tramp to victory here a few days ago, has become affiliated with the stable. trained by C. Limerick. The horses of that establishment will be transferred to Pimlico at the close of this meeting. Jockey M. Lewis arrived from Keeneland to ride Shandon Farms Burning Star in the Philadelphia Handicap here Saturday. Lewis also accepted mounts at Havre on Friday. Jockey F. Slate will accept his first mount of the meeting here on Saturday, being scheduled to ride Ice Man in the third race. Members of the Motor City Stable, Inc., which will be raced at Pimlico by trainer H. C. Wolfe, will be shipped to Detroit at the close of the Maryland Jockey Club meeting. Several stables, which will not have representation at Havre Saturday, were transferred to Pimlico to await the opening of the Maryland Jockey Club meeting on Monday.
