1 CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES . -S Besides three tyvb-year-olds, Rude Awakening, Unrequited and Minneton, owned by C. E. Hagyard, J. P. Sallee has sixteen horses here for Thomas and T- C. Piatt. The racers he has for Thomas Piatt are Flip Flap, Macawlee, Red Chief, Lina Mac, Miss Alert, Calling, Gay Jane, Shawana, Utica, Asset, Cornfield, Farm Bill and Listening, while those he is training for T C. Piatt are Mr. Mack, Pottage and Step Rosy. The good sprinters Silverette and Panic Relief are here to race under the colors of Garrett Watts. J. J. Sirl also has Usay and Sir L. for the same patron. Thomas Marshall came here from Lexington, but is without horses at Churchill Downs. He plans to begin racing his horses again at Lincoln Fields. With the return of Oddesa Beulah, unbeaten juvenile in her only starts, and the other horses which raced at Lexington, the Oddesa Farm stable here under C. Hyde Smith embraces twenty-six head. Besides Oddesa Beulah, the string includes Oddesa Billy, Imperial Polly, Oddesa Pride, Jay Bee Jay, Oddesa Maid, Don Creole, Oddesa Knight, Oddesa Plucky, Oddesa Upset, Oddesa Jenny, Oddesa Agnes, Oddesa Prince, Oddesa Nancy, Oddesa Don, Oddesa Hula, Crack Boy, Margaret L, Ballot Boy, Sweep Boy, Eddie J., Oddesa Romeo, Oddesa Doc, Oddesa Lad, Oddesa Girl and Oddesa Lady. Upon his return from Keeneland Jouett Reed announced that the filly Beauty Sleep, owned by Lucas B. Combs, is to be retired for breeding purposes. She will be bred to Broadside, a son of Man o War. Jack Howard, former jockey and now an owner and breeder, will campaign nine horses through the Churchill Downs season. They are Blue Gauntlet, Col. Greenock, Calexico, Arabic, Compulsion, Saxet and two unnamed two-year-olds. Saxet is the property of Leigh k Saliaferro, and one of the unnamed juveniles belongs to Mrs. Howard, while the remainder i are to race under Howards own colors: k
