! TANFORAN TURF NOTES A Jockey Clarence Owens is planning riding at Agua Caliente, and will pack his tack and leave for the border course the latter part of the week. Owens scales as low as 100 pounds, and will ride free lance.. Indian Dream, a member of the stable of T. Loeff, has been unsexed and turned out at the Charles Cooper ranch at Bonsali. The son of Indian Tails will be taken up soon and prepared for a winter campaign on the California, circuit. Trainer Alphonse Schwartz, who brought the speedy Bill Farnsworth to the coast last fall, is back with a string of four. Schwartz checked in this morning from Santa Anita, where his charges were rested after their trip from Empire City, New York. The quartet is composed of Inscolita and Anopheles, which race for Mrs. Helen Harris, and Weli-Timed and M Appari, which carry the A. Schwartz colors. Jockey Bernie Fels is under call to Schwartz and came along with the horses. Arthur "The Singing Kid" Loftus is an arrival from Maryland. Jockey George Woolf arrived at Santa Anita Wednesday, and will probably visit Tanforan the latter part of this week. W. D. Buck, R. F. Carman, E. H. Glover and Don Porter have ordered an express car to convey their horses to Agua Caliente. In the consignment Buck will send six, Carman three, Glover two, and Porter four.
