GARY PIONEER TO RETIRE H. S. Norton, pioneer resident of Gary and founder of the Gary Gateway Plan, has announced his retirement as vice-president of the Gary Land Company, effective November 27. Norton was instrumental in the erection of. the Gary Hotel, the Judge Gary-. Bishop Adding Settlement House and the Stewart Settlement House.
