JEST ONCE, outrun early, improved her position stoutly in the last half mile, came through on the inside of the leaders when reaching the stretch, then finished fast to get up nearing the end. COUNORA improved her position on the outside after going forwardly and fought it out stubbornly when engaged with the leaders. DINAMITA set a good pace and held on with good courage when losing command. GAY CASINO was displaced early and was tiring at the finish. MIGHTY BUSY was in the first flight, but was not good enough. SANTIAGO could not gain a forward position after being in trouble when CLEO C. and PUZZLE DANCE fell. REPASS tired. TERESA GINO showed early speed. LYDE was outrun. BLAZE-AROUND broke very slowly and trailed far back. CLEO C. and PUZZLE DANCE collided and fell on the turn out of the back stretch. PRINCIPESSA gained a contending position when hustled hard to the first turn, reached the leaders midway of the final turn, then closed with determination on the outside of SETEMUP to got up in the last strides. SETEMUP, going in best form, displaced BOSONIA on the turn out of the back stretch, saved much ground and held on tenaciously to the finish. TWO ACES worked his way up on the outside, entered a forward position on the final turn, then came willingly at the close. BOSONIA Was hustled along from the start, but could not stay. STAR MINT raced evenly. LIFE GUARD failed to rally to a hard drive. DIAVID was away slowly and raced fully. BOOK READER tired. BEN GRIFFITH quit. LITTLE PRUDE was unruly at the gate. ROMAUNT drew clear early, set a fast pace and held on willingly after saving ground. CHALMAC bettered his position swiftly from a slow beginning and was racing strongly at the finish. ORCADES, outrun in the early stages, closed stoutly in the last five-sixteenths. SURE MISS was a stout contender all the way. GHOSTFLYER broke well, but was shuffled back early, then closed gamely when clear. SIR TIME lacked racing room carl v. CHANCE WATCH tired. GENERAL HAY showed a flash of early speed. SCOUT ABOUT broke swiftly, but could not untrack himself. SHALL WE DANCE quit. MANY FLAGS lost his rider on the turn. PROWL, permitted to drop back off the pace after: reaching the back stretch, responded courageously in the last five-sixteenths and held on well to the end. GAURISANKAR was rushed hard to get to the front, then tired from his efforts in the closing drive. TONI worked her way forward, but hung In the final eighth. THE RUNNER was used up in the early running. LAST CHASE was unable to improve his position. SUBURBANITE was poorly rated and was messed about from the start. BONNY CLABBER was always held safe. FOGOSO set a fast pace, met strong bids and continued gamely when placed to punishment in the last eighth. MR. GRUNDY was a strong contender all the way. and held on well. ENDYMION bettered his position after lacking early speed, but could not reach the leaders. BIOLOGIST was never able to menace.. IDLE WAY raced in dull fashion. SACHEM could not threaten. SIR REG was not hurried when unable to gain a forward position, settled in stride after going three-quarters, came up fast nearing the stretch, reached contention, then finished stoutly to get up in the last seventy yards. HEAD HUNTER, rated back of the leaders, moved up swiftly to take a short lead midway of the stretch, but could not withstand the winner. WATERSPLASH, weakly handled, was taken wide, then closed with a belated rush in the last five-sixteenths. KINROSS challenged stoutly on the final turn, but cpuld not stay when the real test came. ASKARIS raced in his best form, but was not good enough. CLAP IN was rated until challenged, then tired when shaken up. COUNT DEAN was done after going three-quarters. FLYING VIM crossed over sharply on the first turn and caused some crowding. He was done early. Overweight Head Hunter, 1 pound. Corrected weight Flying Vim, 107. SEVENTH RACE 1 3-16 MILES. MELODY MAID was steadied in front, stalled off ARMAGNAC and HARRYS DREAM, but could not stay with the winner when caught. HARRYS DREAM was a strong contender all during the running and held on willingly after making several bids. WESTBROOKE made a strong challenge on the turn out of the " back stretch, then tired in the final drive. LAST ROMANCE dropped far out of contention, then closed an immense gap. WISPY could not keep up after racing well placed. KINDACORN was never a dangerous factor. BEAU BON was outrun. TAUNTON raced poorly. ARMAGNAC fell back after going seven-eighths. SILVER GREY quit.
