CHARLES A. HARNETT RESIGNS ALBANY, N. Y., Nov. 17 Mark Graves, president of the State Commission, today announced the resignation of Charles A. Harnett, veteran commissioner of motor vehicles, who has been indicted in New York County on charges of accepting 7,000 in bribes from taxi-cab companies. Harnett, only man ever to serve in his 0,000 a year state office, came to Albany earlier today to offer his resignation. He returned at once to New York, where he pleaded innocent to the charges yesterday. He is free on ,000 bail.
