DNIEPER POINTS FOR STAKE Goldblatt Horse Probable Starter in Handicap at New Orleans. Race Open to Horses of All Ages tetcllier, and Ormsby Horses Arrive Simultaneously. NEW ORLEANS, La., Nov. 17. A probable starter in the Thanksgiving Handicap, ,000 added stake, which will feature the inaugural program at the Fair Grounds on November 24, arrived on the scene when Mose Goldblatts Dnieper got in from Churchill Downs. Goldblatt is not due here until the end of the week, but in a communication to the officials of the Louisiana Jockey Club, he indicated the horse would be pointed for that fixture and that Jimmy Bowen probably would be engaged to ride him. The Thanksgiving Handicap is open to horses of all ages and will be decided over a mile and a sixteenth. Nominations close next Monday. Dnieper, a steady campaigner under the Goldblatt colors, headed a string of five the veteran Cincinnati turfman will race at the Fair Grounds this winter. The others are Jamboree, Silversmith, Black Buddy and Dr. Menendez. In the absence of Goldblatt, the horses are being looked after by N. W. Hedges, who said they stood the trip here from Kentucky in fine style. ALWAYS PROMINENT. The Goldblatt colors have been here for many a year and they should figure prominently in the racing at the Fair Grounds this winter. In the same car which brought the Goldblatt racers to New Orleans were horses owned by A. B. Letellier, C. S. Ormsby, E. C. Lucas and Louis De LaTour. The older horses are White Castle and Money Hill, while the three Ormsby thoroughbreds are Jessie O., Shelby King, and one yearling. Be Shy was shipped here for E. C. Lucas and De LaTour received Lets-win out of the same car.
