SOME TURLEY was with the lcadorsfrom the start and, withstanding a challenge from THISTLE AIR after entering the stretch, drew out early in the last eighth. THISTLE AIR, a forward factor from the start, was hard ridden tlyough the stretch, but was not good enough. VALE OF TEARS, was forced to race wide in the stretch, but raced fairly ;wcll to the end. BULLETIN BOARD made an impressive move rounding the far turn, but was not good enough, although going fairly well at the finish. FLINTRIDGE saved ground throughout. CAN ELE quit. MAID OF PERTH raced to the front early to set a good pace and, despite bearing out badly on the stretch turn, retained the leadership and raced gamely to the end. PRINCE HEATHER was in close quarters earl-, hut made up ground to cut to the inside of MAID OF PERTH on the stretch turn and outfinished VALINA. The latter saved ground throughout CRYSTAL STREAK had early speed, but could not keep up. The others were outrun all the way. URGE ME raced to the front at once and, showing fine early speed, was never in danger. PRINCE BOW was closest to the winner throughout and ran his race, but was not good enough. DRACO lacked early speed, but closed ground on the outside. CHIEF PILOT was never a serious contender. PAT W. was in rather tight quarters in the early part and never figured in the running. TRABUCO loomed up dangerously nearing the stretch turn, but tired badly in the last eighth. NANCY ROGGE, NAPERTON and DOMONIC B. were in close quarters early. SALSITA had early speed, but tired. CALCULATOR was forced rather wide in the stretch, but came again to finish well. BLAUFUSS saved ground in the stretch and was also going gamely at the end. FOUNTAIN GROVE had early speed and had no excuses. DON GUZMAN began rather slowly, was used up racing to second place and tired as if short. COMPANY also tired. Overweight Infinite Lady, 1 pound. HASTEN HENRY was. outrun early, but came fast on the inside through the stretch to find an opening in the last sixteenth and held MASTER: JEAN safe. The latter, probably best, was shuffled back at the start and was a trailer for half the distance, then came fast to be forced wide on the stretch turn, but was gaining rapidly at the end. WATCH TIME dropped back after breaking well, but came again in the stretch to finish fast. IMMUNITY got through on the inside on the stretch turn to take a short lead, but tired in the last sixteenth. CAL-NEVA and GALPEN were used up in the early stages. LIBERTYS LOVE tired badly. LADYS SON was taken up when in close quarters in the first eighth, then was taken to the outside and was permitted to race to the middle of the track after leaving the back stretch, but, losing: much ground, lost all chance. TIMBER CAT raced into close quarters nearing the far turn. Overweight; Timber Cat, 3 pounds.
