I SNOW FLURRIES AT LEXINGTON Sloppy Footing Fails to Deter Trainer Gaver From Testing Greentree Stable Stake Eligibles. LEXINGTON, Ky., April 6. Snow flurries and a sloppy track did not prevent John M. Gaver from testing three of the Greentree Stables Blue Grass Stakes and Kentucky Derby eligibles this morning, and Hal Price Headleys Hants and Valley Grey Farms Total Eclipse also were seen in light drills. Hants was not named for the Blue Grass, and Total Eclipse is not eligible for the Derby. Hash was the only one of the five sent over the mile route and he was timed in 1:45, breezing. He stepped the half mile in :51, and three-quarters in 1:17. Eddie Arcaro handled him and was up on Roll and Toss, which breezed six furlongs in 1:16. Third Degree went the same distance in 1:18. Day Off, which won the Louisiana Derby but which is not named for any of the stakes to be offered here and at Churchill Downs, ran six furlongs in 1:18. Hants was limited to an easy thre-eighths trial, and Total Eclipse breezed a half mile in :52. Hants time was :41. Ten two-year-olds the property of C. V. Whitney left here today for Belmont Park. The youngsters, trained by Ed Snyder, were broken at the Whitney farm here.
