ODDSBODKIN, close to the early pace, was bothered on the stretch turn by DIN, but, responding well when clear, finished resolutely and wore down BALTEE. The latter, hustled into command after the start, showed early speed, bore out entering the stretch, then held on well to the end. DIN, a factor from the start but on the outside, tired in the final sixteenth. MILLTEA was eased back going to the far turn and dropped back, but was taken to the outside in the stretch and finished with a rush. FIERY VISION was close up on the inside early, saved much ground, but tired at the finish. ENGLES WONDER, was outrun. MARJORIE DONNA was unable to menace the leaders. Scratched Spout Run, 115. HIBLAZE moved into command at the start and, suited by the going, drew away under mild urging and, responding gamely in the stretch, outlasted CURRANTS. The latter, close to the pace throughout, moved up gamely in the stretch, then tired at the finish. EARLY TIMES began slowly and was then rushed up on the inside, but went to the outside in the stretch and finished with a rush. APPREHEND was sent up on the inside into close quarters, was then taken clear on the turn, but tired thereafter. CHIEF EVERGREEN, starting slowly, closed with a rush. OUR DAVID had no mishaps. HIS NIBS raced evenly. ITSIE BITSIE had no mishaps. HI-SWING showed early speed, then quit. SEA GULL had no speed. TIMBER FIRE was outrun. CHIEF CHEROKEE refused to start. MISS FIX IT improved her position nearing the far turn and, coming through on the inside entering the stretch, responded gamely when shaken up in the stretch and outlasted MASTER HOWARD. The latter, close to the pace from the start, challenged gamely in the stretch and held on well to the finish. PINE TAG, started slowly, but worked his way up steadily and finished well. HE GOES propped at the start, but worked his way up on the inside, only to tire in the final sixteenth. BOERALICE raced in good form. HENRYELS PICK raced well. ABBOTS LARK began fast, but soon dropped back. TOLSON broke from outside the stalls. REDFOOT showed early speed, then quit. PRINCESS LADY quit badly. The others had no mishaps. SURE MISS, suited by the going and sent into command with a rush, showed good speed and, withstand-ing challenges from ROMAUNT, outlasted TOPEE in the final strides. The latter, saved off the early pace, was placed under pressure on the stretch turn and finished with a rush on the outside. ROMAUNT, a factor from the start, tired at the eighth post, but came again and was in close quarters between the leaders in .the final strides. BLACKY BEE moved up gamely under urging, but tired at the end. BIG NED dropped back after the start and could not improve his position. GOOD ODDS lacked early speed.
