MOSS GAL, Jacking early speed and outrun for half a mile, finished gamely, but did not menace the winner. HIGH TREASON held a contending position from the start and held on well. SURE CLOUD showed good speed while making the pace, but failed to stay when overtaken. QUICK VINE could not reach the leaders. EBLIS went lame soon after the start and, although punished, dropped back steadily after a ouarter. MISS MARTIS rnn off half a mile on the way to the post. VIAJERO was outrun. MISS DE MIE, racing close to the leaders, responded gamely in the final drive and, closing resolutely when straightened out in the stretch, was up j win in the last fifty yards but pulled up lame. LIGHT CRUISER moved up steadily and finished fast. LADY BUCK made the pace, raced clear most of the way, but tired badly in the final eighth. TIME INTERVAL held a contending position while saving ground, but could not improve her position. HAPPY HOSTESS was hard urged and held on gamely. ONRUSH, away poorly, lost much ground early, then came between horses in the drive and closed a big gap. ROCH HIGH lacked early speed and was held safe. ELLEN H. withstood challenges from PROUD KING in the first three-quarters, responded to a hard drive and outlasted PEACHYPIE. The latter, saved off the pace, worked her way up steadily, came through on the inside on the stretch turn, then finished gamely on the outside of the winner. JACOPOBELLE, close to the leaders, challenged repeatedly, but was not good enough. PROUD KING was made too much use of in the early stages and bore out when tiring in the closing three-sixteenths. QUICK CHANGE raced close up, but failed to improve her position under urging. JUDGES BID and BIG SQUEEZE were badly outrun. COURTNEYS PET showed much speed and, moving into the lead, was rated along while saving ground, but tired in the last eighth. THE STORY moved up gamely on the inside near the finish. NANCY MAE moved up gamely on the inside on the stretch turn, but was blocked in the stretch. MON DOIT made his move on the stretch turn, but bore out sharply, then came again on the extreme outside.
