I BOWIE TURF NOTES Fair Advocate, owned by Ral Parr, and the dam of Legal Light, died at his Green-spring Valley Farm today. Col. Abe Hallow was among the arrivals from Florida. He will remain over for the week-end before proceeding to New York for the Jamaica opening. "Chief Cherokee will be retired for life," said Bobby Curran, after his race today. The veteran plater will be turned out on his Silver Spring Valley Farm for the balance of his days. Judge G. Dunellen was an arrival from New York, and will remain for several days. Remy Dorr will leave for New York on Sunday to await the opening of Jamaica. Jockey R. Workman has no definite plans for the present season, but has under consideration several offers to ride for the summer. Jockey B. James will report to trainer J. W. Healy, of the Whitney stable, for the Jamaica meeting. George Strate arrived at Havre de Grace from Miami with ten horses owned by Mrs. Colin MacCloud. Trainer Walter Carter stated that Ranchos Girl, unbeaten juvenile, would be a starter in the Bowie Kindergarten on April 12.
