GRANT GAS RAISE REHEARING The Illinois Supreme Court has granted a rehearing on its February decision, which prevented further collection of higher gas rates by the Peoples Gas Light and Coke Company. The decision was handed down on February 22 and abruptly stopped the collection of the increased rates which had been in effect since February 4, 1938. The court ordered that the ,000,000 collected under this rate be returned to the consumers.
