HENRYELS PICK was kept in near pursuit of the early pace, moved up stoutly when urged rounding the stretch turn, responded to pressure and wore down GIBOIR in the last strides. The latter was sent into command after the start, showed speed by racing CARIEL into defeat, saved ground and then held on with good courage to the end. SPANISH DOT made up some ground under pressure, but could not menace the leaders. CALENDQUEST had no mishaps in the running. CARIEL showed a flash of early speed and then quit. WISE BEE showed speed from the start while racing on the inside, but could not stave off the challenge of the winner in the final cightlr. WOOF WOOF raced greenly, then came again at the finish. DOLLARVILLE was under urging roundin* the far turn. IN CHARGE dwelt at the start, then ran in spots. SIMKOE quit badly. CLOSE. TO could not keep up at any stage of t»e running. GENERALIS, in near pursuit of the early pace from the start, made a determined bid in the stretch run, but couid not overhaul the winner. BURNUP broke fast and was placed under pressure rounding the first turn and gained ground slowly at the end. BLACK DEMON was outrun the first part, came wide entering the stretch and then hung at the end. IRISH ECHO showed early speed and had no mishaps. BROTHER JONES was outrun from the start. TATTERDEMALION was outrun rounding the first turn, was rushed into contention when settled on the back stretch, was taken up and sent to the outside turning for home and then faltered from early efforts. THE CHIEF, in near pursuit of the pace from the start, had no mishaps in the running. GREY GOLD, fractious t the post, broke from outside the stalls. OUR KETCHAM was sent into command after the start, showed speed under restraint and held on well after saving ground on the turns. COUNT ARTHUR raced forwardly from the start and had no excuses. STRABO was placed under pressure in the back stretch and held on well. BIRTHDAY had no excuses in the running. LANDLUBBER had early speed and faltered. NO SIR dropped back after the start.
