Nominations for the big race, numbering a total of forty-one thoroughbreds released today, include the following: El Chico Mr. Canron Johnstown Purple King Fighting Fox Clodioh Isolater Teufel Kayak II. Brown King War Admiral Masked General Bull Lea Deil Cravat Lucky Omen Heelfly Nedayr Impound Sun Alexandria Pompoon Sir Damion War Minstrel Great Union Blind Eagle Honey Cloud Court Dance Bourbon King Handcuff Sun Inplay Challedon Thanksgiving Aethelwold Equestrian Como No II. Ciencia Jacola Panther Creek Hypocrite Sun Egret Burning Star The field is without question the most promising that has ever been named for the big 0,000 race and brings together the leading contenders of the 1939 season. Eastern racing officials yesterday expressed their belief that the 1939 running of the Massachusetts Handicap would see the finest group of thoroughbreds ever brought to New England. El Chico, Johnstown, War Admiral, Kayak II., Cravat, Sun Egret, Bull Lea, Heel-fly, all these and many of the others have been made eligible.
