THIRTY-THREE OF THE GET OF JAMESTOWN HAVE SCORED Jamestown, sire of the Belair Studs Derby favorite, Johnstown, has quite a unique record since he has been placed in the stud. He has sent out three crops of youngsters, not including the juveniles of this year. In the past three years thirty-eight horses sired by him have raced and thirty-three have won. His record in sending out two-year-old winners adds to his success as a sire for twenty-nine of his get have scored in their juvenile year. In 1936 he sired nine winning juveniles; in 1937 seven of his get were winners and last year thirteen of his juvenile sons and daughters were winners. Jamestown placed fifteenth on the list of twenty leading sires of 1938. He was represented by thirty-two horses, which won ninety-four races to amass the total of 38,852 in purse earning.
