SIR INFINITE sprinted into the lead at once and was never really threatened. HIGH CARRIE raced forwardly throughout and withstood a bold bid from SUNRID in the stretch, but could not get to the winner. SUNRID closed stoutly on the inside entering the stretch, but faltered near the end. TOUGH BIRD closed a wide gap. MOROCCO E. also closed some ground. The others tired. SPANLEE shook off SHERIFF EUGENE entering the stretch, but had to be ridden out ncaring the end to retain his slight advantage. HEZDREL saved ground on the turn for home and closed strongly on the outside of the winner in the final sixteenth. SWEEP ROYAL closed a wide cap and came strongly between horses in the last eighth, finishing fast. SHERIFF EUGENE forced the oarlypace, but bore out through the stretch and tired. TEPERWINE displayed early speed, but tired. The others were outrun. FOUNTAIN GROVE raced .on the outside of QUICKER throughout, had the most in reserve for the final test and drew away into an easy lead nearing the end. QUICKER had no excuses and was much tlie best of the others. KING HULLO closed considerable ground and outlasted EVER HOPEFUL. The latter showed speed in spots and saved ground entering the stretch. AZAFRAN closed some ground in the run home. BRIGHT BELL tired after displaying early speed. The others were outrun. SPEEDY JOSIE closed stoutly on the outside of the leaders in the stretch and finished fast. MAXIEKIN raced forwardly from the start, but on the .outside of the leaders and finished tiring. WHITE HOPE reached contention nearing the stretch turn, was no match for the winner, but held the others safe. VINDICARE closed stoutly from the rear in the last quarter and out-gamed WILD CALL. The latter showed the most speed for three-quarters, but tired steadily thereafter. MISS HARDBOOT, a keen factor early, tired. IBETCHA was crowded back going to the first turn. CHIEFJEAN, well up from the start, went to the front entering the stretch and drew away into an easy lead, but had to be hustled along nearing the end to retain his slight advantage. THE GREETER suffered slight early interference, but closed courageously in the stretch and was wearing down the winner. ONUS worked way up on the outside and outgamed SPANISH BELLE. The latter made a resolute bid in the stretch and held on fairly well. BON FLY had no excuses. MOLIDA tired badly in the last quarter after showing the most early speed. Scratched 23439 Mintson, 113.
