Senator Metzgers Foals -RED BLUFF, Calif., May 16. Senator D. Jack Metzger reports the arrival of several foals at his ranch near here. The senator, who for many years, has been one of Californias most prominent cattle breeders, went in for thoroughbred horse breeding on a rather extensive scale last year. He expects eleven, foals this season. Six have already arrived. There is but one filly in the lot, she by Kilkerry, out of No Manners, by Fine Manners. All the colts are by Muckraker, roan son of Teddy Nantokah, who made his first season at stud last year. Muckraker is owned by Lonriie Copenhaver and stands at J. L. Pattersons Shasta Butte Ranch not far from Metzgers place. The; colts are out of the six-year-old Sweet Jasmine, by War Cry Annie D., by King Heather; Miss Loan, by Mortgage Pure Hills, by Langdon Hills; Eva Cry, by War Cry Eva Ackley, by Ballot; Missokah, by The Okah Nama, by Donnaconna, and Carol Joe, by Spanish .
