HIGHLAND SONG, quick to begin and hard urged to maintain a short lead in the first half mile, saved much ground, then drew out in the drive! while under strong urging. BLUE MELODY, abreast of the winner for a half mile, made a stout challenge, but tired in the closing drive. SAINT PYREWICK was always prominent and continued gamely to the end. ROVING EYE was unable to improve his position. ADHELMAR raced evenly. RIPPLING ON was outrun. The others could not threaten Tit any time. Won easily; second and third driving. ROLLS ROUGH, suited by the footing and hustled to the front, opened up a clear lead when straightened in the back stretch and was steadied to the stretch turn, then drew out under light urging. SAMPLER, hard ridden and in nearest attendance of the winner, was placed to severe punishment in the last live-sixteenths but tired fast under strong pressure. IVA MAE, allowed to drop far out of contention after being tardy at the start, caught her field on the last turn, then swung to the outside and Finished with a bold rush. COLLEGE WIDOW was sent into the first flieht and raced well. HAPPY SLAVE tired after making a mild challenge. HERODS PILATE flashed early "speed. JUNE PENNANT did not favor the footing. HIGH BLAME, taken to the front in the first three-eighths, was allowed to draw clear when straightened on the back stretch, continued to save ground and held TYR safe. The latter, saved off the pace for three-quarters, improved his position gamely and finished with good speed. FRANK BROOKE, racing forwardly under steady pressure, tired when the real test came. -WILDMUTE was never dangerous. KAMARI did not favor the footing. SCHLEY AL was done after three-quarters. FIVE-O-FOUR showed no ability in the footing. "VENDORS LIEN, improving his position steadily on the outside, finished with good courage in the drive. OF COURSE forced a good pace and raced abreast of the winner to the stretch turn, then tired. "MAYFERN was handled strongly, but could not better her position. JEWEL SONG raced wide and failed. to menace. HAPPY HOSTESS began, slowly and was always outrun. VOUCHER displayed much speed to set the pace, met strong efforts from NAVY and fought it out stubbornly. NAVY followed close to the pacemaker and rallied strongly to punishment, then finished wide in the drive while holding on tenaciously. JUSTICE NAP was ridden hard and raced well. LOVE MARK, displaced after five-eighths, held on. tenaciously for the drive. STAND ALONE, taken wide after setting away slowly, closed a good gap. SIR TIME was well handled, but failed to rally when the real test came. SUNNY ROSE could not get to the leaders. SIX SHOOTER had no mishaps. MAEWHISK was used up forcing the pace and quit.
