EPIZAR took command going to the first turn and, under mild urging rounding the second turn, drew away into a long lead and held her advantage to the end to win by a wide margin. EXTREMUS, away in good shape, stayed close to the pace to the final quarter, then closed some ground, but was no threat to the winner. TEA RING raced evenly and was never able to improve his position. CORNWALLIS showed good speed to the final eighth, then tired. PREFER TRANSIT raced in spots, but was never a dangerous threat. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. DOWNY PILLOW forged to the front soon after the start, set all the pace, although bearing out on all the turns, closed strongly in the filial eighth and, despite drifting out badly, lasted to win by a safe margin. DEEP END, a forward factor throughout, closed gamely in the final drive and just managed to save the place. ELEVENTH HOUR, well back in the early stages, closed swiftly on the inside after reaching the final eighth and was going " strongly at the finish. ROMAN DESCENT raced on the outside throughout and was forced to go wide when the winner bore out on the final turn. HADA MOON had some early speed. SKAGWAY and HIGH NAME were never dangerous. The latter, well up from the start, raced up on the outside to take the lead rounding the final turn and -held on gamely to the final sixteenth, then tired. LATENT closed some ground in the last eighth. TETROS JR. tired after showing some early speed. GOLDEN GOOSE set the pace for a half mile, then tired when challenged. The latter, a forward factor from the start, forged to the front rounding the third turn, then dropped back when CONNIE ANN came again and, entering the stretch run, moved into the lead again, but was unable to withstand the winners rush in the last sixteenth. VALDINA CHIEF showed good speed to the final eighth, then tired. CONNIE ANN set the pace for a half mile, then dropped back rounding the" third turn when MR.
