STEFANITA forced a fast pace from the start, shook off opposition in. the stretch and drew away under hand urging. SPARTIATE was under restraint early and was steered to the outside entering the stretch to finish with a rush. SHANNON, in nearest pursuit of the early pace, had no mishaps in the running. CAMILLE, a forward factor all the way, had no mishaps. LOVELY DELORES was outrun early, then finished fast. YELLOW POPPY showed an even effort. SONOROUS had no mishaps. PANTHORN was never a factor. QUAKERTOWN was kept for-wardly on the outside under steady restraint and responded to pressure entering the stretch, then proved best in the final drive. ACK ACK came through on the inside in the stretch and, under urging, finished with a rush. CUANTOS was taken under restraint early and responded when ureed to finish in a dead heat with AFGHANISTAN. The latter forced the pace from the start and held on well. SPEED TO SPARE displayed speed throughout, then hung in the final drive. BRIGHT GALLANT came with a rush through the stretch. ATTENTION improved his position sfeadily while under mild restraint, was shaken up when well settled in the stretch run and wofe down the leaders to be drawing away at the end. PICTOR was slow to settle in his stride, moved up with determination through the late stages and finished well. MARKET WISE was outrun for the first part, worked his way up and, under hard urging, was going strongly at the finish. BEST SELLER was restrained off the pace, assumed command under pressure in the stretch run, but could not maintain his lead when urged. ROSETOWN, in nearest pursuit ef the pace, faltered under urging in the stretch run. BOYSY was well up and showed a good effort throughout. GRAMPS had no mishaps. THIRD DEGREE faltered when urged in the stretch run. OMISSION was slow to start, but finished well. READING II. was-never a factor and ran away a mile and a half after the finish.
