Helis obtained the chestnut son of Blenheim II. — Risk at the Lexington sales last summer through a bid of 6,000, the colt, now known as Pericles, became the chief topic in any discussion of Helis grow-iing thoroughbred interests. But there is a possibility that one of the unheralded mem-• bers of the vast collection will attract con-I siderable attention before very long. At any rate he now is receiving quite some attention from trainer E. L. Snyder. The unsung member is Greek Warrior, a gray colt by Mahmoud — Gay Crest who was obtained at much less cost than was Pericles. Greek Warrior has displayed sufficient speed in private trials to cause plenty comment among the stables connections. He is so well advanced in his training that he is likely to see early action in the East. The development of Greek Warrior has been rapid. Only a few of the Helis youngsters engaged in competition under colors during the past winter season at the Fan-Grounds, but virtually all of trainer Snyders charges were given some rudimentary schooling. Greek Warrior was included in the group obtained by Helis in a private transaction with Henry H. Knight.
