Summer Time, a sister to Bull Lea, has foaled a bay filly by Heliopolis at Cold- stream Stud. A yearling filly by Reaping Reward and Summer Time was purchased by John Phipps at the Meadowbrook sales for ,200. Summer Time will be mated with Reaping Reward this season. O. A. Bianchi has sold his Libyan Stock Farm to Horace Wilson, Lexington auto- mobile agent. Fire Lass, dam of the stakes winner Huskie Boy and other winners, foaled a chestnut filly by Heliopolis at Coldstream Stud. According to word received in Lexington, James Henderson, popular Columbus, Ohio, owner, who is in the Army, is in the Gen-■ eral Hospital at Fort Hayes, Ohio. Col. M. I. Voorhees, in charge of the Lex- ington branch of the Army Remount Serv- ice, is training Non Resistance, a two-year- old daughter of Isolater, for Capt. Gerald Smith. Joe Dyer, brother to Johnny Gilbert, who reached prominence through his handling of Aonbarr two years ago, arrived in Lex- ington and reported to J. C. Gillem, who has his horses quartered at the trotting track. The four two-year-olds Wallace Jacobs purchased from the estate of W. T. Payne and three belonging to various owners com- prised a carload which left Lexington for Aqueduct this week. Blue Grass breeders are spending many I restless nights. Filly foals predominate I and abortions and twins are greater than t at any time in many years. While this ; brings grief to the breeders, it is answer -» ing the problems of many writers on breed -- ing, who have been worried about over-r production. As one veteran breeder put | it, "Nature takes care of all things."
