ABE raced nearest GUS G. until nearing the stretch, assumed command when settled for the drive, then held the advantage when ridden out. McCOSH saved ground while outrun to the stretch, was sent to the inside for the drive and closed resolutely. GUS G. went to the front early, made the pace for five-eighths, then faltered when challenged by the winner. PUDDLE JUMPER never was prominent. CID PLAY was done early. TOLECA, forwardly placed early, lost ground entering the stretch, responded well when straightened for the drive and was up in the last strides. LADY LASSATOR went into command early, made the pace until near the finish and could not withstand the winner. REBATE, a keen factor from the beginning, drifted out when set down for the stretch run, but held on willingly under punishment. DUDE W., on the outside throughout, could not overtake the leaders when hard ridden through the stretch. WHITEFORD TET raced prominently to the last furlong, then weakened. GOOD LOOK had early speed, but failed to stay. COPPER POT never was dangerous. The others were far back throughout. Scratched— 73536 Canteen Lad, 107. MISS OBEHAN raced forwardly placed from the beginning and closed willingly under punishment, but could not threaten the winner. PINK CHANCE, outrun to the stretch, could not get to the leaders when set down in the drive. PETROSE GIRL began fast, but dropped back immediately after the start. ATREBLA tired during the final furlong. KINDLY MISS had no mishap after displaying early speed. GOMEL, on the outside throughout, never seriously threatened. BOLO PAT was through early. The latter raced evenly to the stretch, was sent to the outside for the drive and closed gamely under brisk urging. SAINT NICHOLAS, outrun early, finished well under punishment. TRY IKE went to the front early, made the pace to the final furlong, then faltered. WARSICK failed to stay after showing early speed. GARRETT C. was never dangerous after the start. OLD TOM went to the front at once, established a clear lead before reaching the stretch, then continued gamely under vigorous urging to hold CURTICE safe. The latter, outrun to the stretch, was sent to the inside for the drive and finished fast under n strong handling. BLACK SAMBO, forced to take up after going a furlong, came again when clear, held on| determinedly to the last eighth, then faltered, but dead-heated with SHADOWS START for third. The latter I — bore out during the last three-eighths, bumped WISCONSIN BOY during the drive, then closed well to finish C on equal terms with BLACK SAMBO WISCONSIN BOY, away sluggishly, moved up fast on the outside after the start, was forced out by SHADOWS START at the stretch turn and failed to recover. TEDDIES IMP was ?o outrun. OIL CAPITOL had a rough trip. BOLINGOVER had early speed. AIR ARM began fast, but failed to stay. FEUDIN FIGHTIN was done early. CROSS WISE had brief speed. PONDER, away slowly, gradually worked his way forward while racing on the extreme outside, responded to brisk urging entering the stretch and, after wearing down the leaders, won, but had little left. CAPOT, forwardly placed from the start, went to the front when settled in the stretch, held on willingly, but was unable to withstand PONDER, although easily best of the others. PALESTINIAN, well ridden, saved ground to the stretch, then made a bold bid when set down in the drive, but faltered during the last sixteenth. OLD ROCKPORT, on the inside and never far back, could not get to the leaders when hard ridden through the stretch. HALT lacked early speed and passed tired horses during the last three-eighths. OLYMPIA made the pace until inside the stretch, then gave way. MODEL CADET moved up after going a half mile, then tired. DUPLICATOR, on the outside throughout, never seriously threatened. JOHNS JOY, roughed at the first turn and again nearing the upper turn, failed to rally when clear. KY. COLONEL was far back throughout. LEXTOWN had brief speed. JACKS TOWN was through early.
