Sir Blen Loses Purse ASCOT PARK, Akron, Ohio, June 13. — The Ascot Park stewards issued the following ruling this morning: "Protest by Frank James, trainer of the horse John the Good, who finished second in the sixth race Saturday, June 11, 1949 won by Sir Blen , for first money, which was allowed by the stewards for violating the rule which states all horses shall carry their weight from the paddock to the starting post. "First money awarded John the Good, G. M. Johnson, 00. "Second money awarded Vitum, M. OBrien, 25. "Third money awarded Darby Donna, Mrs. H. Labadie, 0. "Fourth money awarded Briarson, A. A. Hamilton, 5."
