Shift in Official *FamiIy For Meeting at Aqueduct AQUEDUCT, L.L, N. Y., June 13.— There have been several shifts in the positions of the official family for the Aqueduct meeting. Fred Parks has taken on the post of assistant to racing secretary-handicapper John B. Campbell, in the absence of Frank E. "Jimmy" Kilroe, who is now serving as racing secretary at Arlington and Washington Parks. Parks continues as steward representing the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association. Alfred G. Vanderbilt, serving for the first time in this capacity, is the new visiting member of The Jockey Club in the stewards stand. William A. Murphy, Jr., who has been assisting George Hyland, clerk of the scales, has been shifted to placing judge, succeeding Parks, while Austin McLaughlin, who served as timer at Belmont Park and Jamaica, succeeds Murphy. John E. OHara, who has been in the Horse Identification Department, will be the timer at this meeting. These changes were partly in accordance with the policy of the past two years of rotating officials at the New York tracks until they have served in every possible capacity, and partly by the departure of Kilroe for Chicago.
