Purse Outlay at Fort Miami Track at Toledo Is Increased IncreasedFORT FORT MIAMI Maumee Ohio May 2 Purse distribution at this track will be in ¬ creased as the result of a meeting between officers of the HBPA and the management this morning Following a short and friendly discussion it was agreed that the daily distribution of purse money would be 6000 per day for three days of each week and 6100 for the other three days The minimum purse is to be 700 and there are to be no more than four of such mini ¬ mum purses each day This agreement covers programs of eight races each day On Wednesdays and Saturdays when nine races are run the additional race will carry a value of 800 or more Terms of the agreement are to be in effect for the balance of the meeting The previous mini ¬ mum purse was 600 600The The HBPA was represented by Fred Grimes vicepresident and Stuart Bullock secretarytreasurer of the Ohio division of the horsemens organization who came over from Cleveland for the negotiations In the absence of regular committeemen of the HBPA at this course a temporary arbitration committee was appointed con ¬ sisting of Peter Christensen Bob Warren and H R Riley to handle the affairs of the group here hereGeneral General manager Edwin T Keller and racing secretary L H Van Zandt repre ¬ sented the track
