the run down the backstretch but improved her position nearing the stretch turn and getting to the front on the outside in the last sixteenth held TIO TITO The latter was closer than usual in the first part and despite being bothered in the stretch finished well THE WENCH showed good speed in the pacemakingand raced ADRIUTHA and HAYWORTHY into submission but was tiring at the finish JACK COUNT appeared to be under mild rating early and responded with good courage in the stretch but at no time threatened the winner although easily disposing of the others PRIMATE was close enough early and had his chance when he moved to within striking distance of ARMAGEDDON in the stretch but lacked much finishing power TOP BET came from last place to stage a reasonably strong finish ALLS FAIR was rated early and saved ground in the stretch but seemed to be outmatched QUIET STEP was never a factor CHARLIE McADAM displayed good form in racing close to the pace for six furlongs but lacked any semblance of finishing power LORD PRIAM dashed up on the inside from a slow beginning to become a potent factor nearing the far turn but shortened stride when it came to an issue HANNIBAL used up his while racing next t3 the outer fence and continued well to hold OLYMPIC The latter saved ground in the stretch to finish strongly but would probably have been no better than a fair third but for the mishap on the stretch turn TRIPOLI raced close to the pace seemed to meet with serious interference when carried out by JET MASTER on the turn and could have been best EAR ¬ MARKED finished fairly well MAMELUKE was badly outrun early worked out an extra eighth after the race and seemed a trifle sore after pulling up VINCENT X F had good speed for a half mile and although undoubtedly tiring when
